Sven Towers 3. Left route. 5.7+

We have 6 climber spots available to this outing.  Spots are listed as closed.  RSVP and you’ll be added to the list after confirming AMC membership.

What is it?

https://www.mountainproject.com/v/left-route-/106855019
This is a fun slab climb with a challenging boulder problem right in the middle. It’s a neat challenge for beginners and an enjoyable climb for intermediate climbers. If you’re transitioning from the gym to the rock this is a fun climb to experience a different sort of climbing. We’ll be breaking it into a three pitch climb.

Update: we’ll be topping out the climb on shark tooth 5.7+.  https://www.mountainproject.com/v/shark-tooth/111307993.   Be prepared for a safe, but heady finish!

ALL CLIMBERS ARE PART OF THE TEAM AND WILL BE EXPECTED TO BE COMPETENT WITH BASIC CLIMBING CONCEPTS SUCH AS TOP BELAY AND ROPE MANAGEMENT.   THIS IS AN “ACTIVE” TEAM EVENT.

 When?
Friday March 3rd.  Meet at 9:00am in the Tom’s thumb parking lot trailhead. We’ll head out by 9:15. If something pops up and you can’t make it please drop out early so that you can give others a chance to climb.

When you RSVP, you’ll be asked for your full name, email and phone number so we can confirm your paid membership for this year. Once membership is confirmed I’ll move you from the waiting list. Individuals who do not respond to the questions or do not have current AMC membership will be moved to “Not Going” by the outing leaders. What to bring

Please Bring: food, plenty of water, wind shell, approach shoes, warm/cool clothing, sunscreen, HELMET, harness, belay/rappel device, several locking carabiners, prusik cords, autoblock, day pack, personal anchor, climbing shoes, first aid kit and whatever else you may need to stay comfortable for the day.
